We are not interested in anything that can be “easily adapted to fit.”

We’d love to find something like a Black “Carlito’s Way” or “Gran Torino.” We prefer contemporary stories over period pieces. Please only submit if the character is specifically written as an African American. We are not interested in anything that can be “easily adapted to fit.”

We are looking for completed feature-length inspirational Christian scripts. We are interested in stories in the vein of “Fireproof,” “Facing the Giants” or “Bella (2006).” Although we prefer Canadian writers due to tax reasons, we are open to writers from other countries. Submissions should be for an adult, strong family values audience, and the stories should take place in the present day. We are interested in scripts that are character-driven with strong, positive messages. They must be PG-rated material, meaning no explicit sex and violence and only mild language. Overall, the message should be empowering, inspiring and one of hope. Please note we are not looking for MOW’s or anything based on true stories, so please only submit fictional stories and characters.

Budget will not exceed $2.5 million. WG and non-WG writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature length ultra-low budget scripts from Canadian writers. Please only submit if you have not done the CFC Feature Film Program before, and if you are willing to be a part of the CFC program in the near future as this project will be submitted there for financing. Although this lead is open to produced and not-yet-produced Canadian writers, please do not submit if you have had more than one feature or television script produced in the past. Scripts submitted should involve no more than 2-3 main characters and 2-3 supporting characters, and can be in any genre except action or torture horror as long as the story is contemporary and “no frills” (i.e. no excessive budgetary requirements like car chases, helicopter crashes, overseas locations, etc.).

Budget will not exceed $500K. WGC and non-WGC writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length scripts with a positive message that will appeal to a Christian audience. Submissions must be for material that is contemporary and fast-paced – i.e. something in the vein of “Fireproof” meets “Slumdog Millionaire.” We are particularly interested in Christian stories that are told in a unique way, perhaps with a non-linear narrative structure (like “21 Grams”) or a modern visual style (like Slumdog Millionaire”).

Budget will not exceed $250K. Only non-WGA writers should submit at this point in time.

We are looking for completed feature-length rom-com scripts for actors in their mid to late 20’s with a distinct indie feel – i.e. something like the “The Puffy Chair” rather than a Matthew McConaughey film.

We are looking for completed feature-length scripts about science and technology. However, we are not open to sci-fi scripts at this time (no stories like “Knowing”). The story should have a scientific, mathematical, and/or technological theme and storyline or have a leading character who is a scientist, engineer or mathematician. In other words, we are looking for stories more like “Flash of Genius” or even the show “Numb3rs” rather than scripts like “Minority Report” or anything involving big, speculative technology (mind reading, time travel, teleporting, etc.). However, stories involving innovative technology or ideas that are very close to current events are acceptable (cloning, stem cell) as are stories about professors and teachers of science, engineering or math. We are not looking for disaster or terrorist stories, and again, we are not open to sci-fi stories.

Budget has yet to be determined. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length or television series Christian-themed, animated scripts from writers willing to write on spec. The material should be appropriate for kids. We have established a nationwide network of distribution for Christian content, so the material must be theologically and biblically accurate. Examples would be stories in the vein of “Veggie Tales” or “The (animated) Ten Commandments.” Main characters may be stylized humans, animals, normally inanimate objects or any other creative animated character. Also, please state if you have any experience in background or character animation.

Budget has yet to be determined. Non-WG writers only may submit.

Note: Please submit again if you did last week — there was a glitch. We are looking for pitches for a new television comedy series. The series could be an hour or half-hour format. Although we don’t require that you have a completed pilot script to pitch us, we do ask that you refrain from pitching unless your project is already a well-researched and developed series idea. A synopsis and well-thought out description is required upon submitting. We are especially interested in strong characters, a solid story engine and a clear franchise. When pitching, please fill in all the forms below; if we’re interested, we’ll contact you with a release form and a request for the bible.

Budget has yet to be determined. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

We are looking for completed feature-length psychological thriller scripts. Supernatural elements are acceptable as long as the emphasis is on the psychological fears rather than simply physical violence (no “Hostel”). In other words, we are looking for stories in the vein of “Silence of the Lambs” or “Rosemary’s Baby.” We are not open to gory films or slashers or anything like “Nightmare on Elm Street” or “Friday the 13th.” Some horror is acceptable as long as it meets the above requirements (e.g. no chase movies or giant bug killing).

Budget will not exceed $15 million. WGA and non-WGA writers may submit.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

Company C

We are looking for completed feature-length drama scripts. We are not open to material that is too dark, or crime dramas/detective stories, or too satiric or farcical comedies. The story should not contain gore. We are open to any kind of drama, from quirky ones like “Little Miss Sunshine” to more “mainstream” fare like “Revolutionary Road.” Some thriller elements are acceptable, but it should still remain mainly a drama and not a chase movie or story with too many physical action sequences. In other words, a suspenseful thriller/drama like “The Usual Suspects” is acceptable but stories in the vein of “Se7en, “8 MM” or “The Game” are not.

Budget will not exceed $3 million. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

Company D
**

We are looking for completed feature-length thriller/mystery scripts with a Hitchcock style. We are interested in stories that are suspenseful yet simplistic with a gradual build in the suspense. Stories must be more character-driven and psychological rather than “action hero” oriented (though physical danger is most welcome). The story should plunge ordinary people into extraordinary situations. In other words, stories in the vein of “North by Northwest.” We are not interested in gore, women-in-jeopardy, serial killer, numerous locations or sets, casts of thousands or over-the-top special FX.

Budget will not exceed $3 million. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

Company E

We are looking for completed feature-length family-oriented fantasy scripts in the style of “E.T.” and “It’s a Wonderful Life.” We are only open to material that does not contain profanity, sex or violence. The story should also plunge ordinary people into extraordinary situations.

Budget will not exceed $3 million. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length, R-rated character-driven comedy scripts as samples for a possible writer-for-hire opportunity. We are looking to develop a feature-length R-rated comedy/musical. The sample should contain frank language and characters who are high-school or college age. We are willing to hire a second writer for lyrics if the initial writer does not have music writing skills. If the sample interests us, we may request the first few pages or the entire script as a further sample.

Budget has yet to be determined. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

We are looking for completed feature-length ultra-low budget drama or thriller scripts written for an 18 to 22-year-old male role for an East Indian actor. The story must be written for an Indian actor. Please do not submit scripts that are simply adaptable. Supporting characters must not exceed 5-6. We are seeking strong, edgy, character-driven stories set in the United States and not India. Also, keep in mind that this is an ultra-low budget project. We are not looking for elaborate Bollywood musicals, or stories involving large schools or crowd scenes. We are not open to comedies. Rom-coms are acceptable as long as the emphasis is on the male lead rather than the female. We know that this mandate is very specific, but please only submit if your material fits the above criteria.

Budget will not exceed $200,000. Non-WG writers only should submit at this time.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

Company H

We are looking for completed feature-length comedy scripts written for two roles: teenage daughter and mother. The roles must be equally balanced (no “kid-driven” scripts). In other words, there must be enough development for both characters; the story should not be about a teen and have only a few scenes with the mother. “Juno” had enough of the mother character role. “Because I Said So” or “Freaky Friday” are even better examples. One of the leads must be a teenager, so we are not looking for “Stepmom.” No grandmother stories. The story should be comic and not dark or overly dramatic like “Thirteen.”

Budget has yet to be determined. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

Company I

We are looking for completed MOW or feature-length scripts about ordinary women overcoming extraordinary circumstances or odds. The time period must be contemporary/present day. Women in jeopardy stories are great, as long as the character overcomes obstacles herself and is not saved by a knight in armor. Think popular MOW’s on female-driven story networks.

Budget has yet to be determined. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

For more information on gaining access to this lead, please see www.InkTip.com/pnews.php.

We are looking for completed feature-length light-hearted comedies from produced writers as samples for a possible writer-for-hire opportunity. We are seeking a writer to adapt a humorous, true-story novel, so we are requesting comedic samples. The dialogue should be witty, think “Sex in the City” or “Juno.” We are not looking for slapstick or low-brow, frat humor comedies. In the resume space provided, please list your produced credits.

Budget has yet to be determined. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

Budget has yet to be determined. Script must be fully written either by an Australian resident or Australian citizen.

We are looking for completed feature-length inspirational scripts from preferably, though not exclusively, Canadian writers. Submissions need to be for material that targets a Christian audience, although the stories needn’t necessarily have Christian stories – we’re just looking for a good redemptive story that our audience will identify and not offend a family audience – i.e. no gratuitous sex, excessive violence, etc.

Budget will not exceed $5 million. Union and non-union writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length ultra-low budget, contest-winning scripts with stories that take place in no more than 2 or 3 locations, with no more than 10 actors and little or no VFX. Submissions must be for contemporary material, so please feel free to submit a pitch for thriller, sci-fi, drama, or even high-concept horror stories. We are not interested in western, animation or fantasy stories at this point in time. When submitting, please name the contest your script won. We are also open to first and second place runner-ups. Please do not submit unless your script perfectly matches the criteria above. In other words, we like stories in the vein of “On Golden Pond,” “Home for the Holidays” and “Revolutionary Road.” We prefer stories with a gay or lesbian character but are open to all that fit the above criteria. We are open to dramedy scripts. However, the script should contain strong dramatic elements and should not be pure comedies. We are not open to rom-coms at this time.

If any coverage services have given it a “recommend,” please note this in the resume space provided.
