Company C

We are looking for completed one-hour TV pilot scripts that have wide international appeal. Examples of the types of stories would be “Alias,” “Prison Break,” “Lost,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “24,” and “Fringe.” If something is a procedural (legal/medical/cop/etc), it would have to be very high concept. Silver Sword Entertainment – Fantasy Scripts for an Actress

May 1, 2009

We are looking for completed feature-length “magical realism” scripts – i.e. something in the vein of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” or “Big Fish.” Submissions should be for character-driven material, where there are elements of fantasy and/or spirituality present, but not so much as to overpower the story. Please do not submit anything with ghosts, vampires, or other characters/elements from beyond the grave, as we are not looking for supernatural stories; what we’re looking for are stories with real characters in fantastic situations. And please be advised that this is for an actress in her early 40s, so please only submit if one of your lead characters is specifically for an actor like Julianne Moore or Joan Allen.

WGA and non-WGA writers may submit. Budget will not exceed $5 million.

We are a relatively new production company with partial financing already in place.

David Brady Productions

July 1, 2008

David Brady Productions came into existence in February of 1979, while David was a graduate student in Communications at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. Initially operating out of Vancouver, David produced several successful theatrical feature films. He then went on to spend eight years producing movies out of Los Angeles and New York.

In 1987, David moved back to Canada and his old hometown of Toronto to get married and raise a family. His focus shifted away from features to television series – both dramatic and documentary.

David returned to movies as one of the executive producers of the Disney Channel movie You Wish, in 2003 with his old friend and associate from Los Angeles, Alan Sacks. The movie was nominated July of 2003 for the prestigious Humanitis Award.

In addition to producing, David also enjoys writing, teaching and motivational speaking. He was on the faculties of both York University and Ryerson University, where he was the recipient of the CESAR teaching award. David shares his experiences of overcoming adversity, both financial and emotional, in various motivational speaking engagements.

David divides his time between his office in South Eastern Ontario, overlooking the Bay of Quinte -across from upstate New York- and his office in Sherman Oaks, California.

DAVID BRADY PRODUCTIONS is currently accepting pitches and queries for film and television projects.

For documentary, non-fiction or factual projects, please email your submission to: development@davidbradyproductions.com with the word “Submission” in the subject heading, or send your proposal by post to our office with “Attention: Submission” on the package. In both cases, a release form needs to be signed and included with the submission.
